Terms of Service — Credits and Plans

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of JevStation (the "Service"). By creating an account, opening the playground, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

What the Service is

JevStation is a hosted workspace built around Jev, TypeSafe's System One model. Jev is not a text-generation chat model: it evaluates a state against typed questions and returns structured answers — a choice, a score, or a probability — together with a probability distribution and, for Choice and Score questions, a confidence value.

The Service includes:

• The playground, where you paste a state, attach optional context, define a question set, and run an evaluation.
• Saved evaluations, stored against your account with a title derived from their content.
• Credit metering, so each run is charged against a prepaid balance.
• The docs, which describe the Jev typed-question contract and how to run an evaluation.
• The apps catalog and the public submit form for community playbooks, tools, and integrations.

Jev's answers are probabilistic judgements produced by a statistical model. They are not facts, not verified information, and not professional advice of any kind. The confidence value reflects how concentrated the model's probability distribution is — it is not a guarantee of correctness. Always review an answer before you rely on it, and keep a human in the loop wherever a wrong decision would cause harm.

Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including safeguarding your password and any API key you create. API keys act as you: anyone who holds one can spend your credits and run evaluations as your account. Create only the keys you need, store them securely, and revoke any key you no longer use or that may have leaked. Tell us through a support ticket as soon as you become aware of unauthorised use of your account or a credential.

Access may be invite-only. Where an invite code is required, redeeming it may grant a time-limited trial with a set number of trial days and a set number of credits, and access may end when the trial ends.

Credits, plans, and billing

Credit packs are described on the pricing page, and the price shown at checkout is the price that applies to your purchase. Prices, pack contents, and included credit amounts may change, but a change never affects a purchase you have already made — credits you have bought are yours on the terms in force at the time of purchase.

Credits. An evaluation costs a flat number of credits per run, as shown in the playground. Credits are deducted when a run is charged, and refunded automatically if the run fails or is cancelled. Credits are a prepaid usage allowance: they are not money, carry no cash value, are not transferable or refundable, and may expire on the date shown when they are granted or purchased.

One-time purchases. Credit packs are bought once and do not renew. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel: when your balance runs out, you choose whether to buy another pack. If we ever offer a recurring plan, it will be described as such on the pricing page and at checkout before you buy it.

Payment processing. Purchases are handled by third-party payment providers (which may include Stripe, PayPal, Creem, Alipay, or WeChat Pay). Their terms and privacy policies apply to the payment itself. We never receive or store your full card or bank details. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our own income.

Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable. If you think you were charged in error, or a payment did not deliver what it promised, email support@jevstation.com or open a support ticket and we will look into it. We may suspend paid features while a payment is disputed or unresolved.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of anyone else.
• Submit content you do not have the right to share. Evaluation content is transmitted to a third-party model provider, so do not submit regulated, confidential, or personal data you are not permitted to send to such a provider.
• Attempt to access another user's account or evaluations, or to probe, scan, or breach our systems or those of our providers.
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, credit metering, rate limits, or any other control.
• Overload or disrupt the Service, including through automated traffic that is disproportionate to normal use.
• Create accounts by automated means, or resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission.
• Scrape or extract data from the Service to build a competing product or dataset.
• Send spam, malware, or content that is unlawful, deceptive, or harmful.
• Use the Service to make automated decisions about people in areas where the law requires human review — such as credit, employment, housing, insurance, legal, or medical decisions — without the review and safeguards that law requires.

We may investigate suspected breaches and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

Your content

You keep ownership of the state, context, and questions you submit. To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, process, and display that content back to you — including transmitting it to the model provider configured for the Service — and to keep the associated records described in our Privacy Policy. This licence is limited to running and improving the Service for you, and ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in backups or where we must keep records by law.

You are responsible for your content and for making sure you have the right to submit it.

If you use the public submit form, you confirm that the title, link, category, and description you provide are accurate, that you have the right to share them, and that the linked material is not misleading or unlawful. You grant us permission to publish that listing in the apps catalog and to edit it for length or formatting.

Our content and intellectual property

The Service — its software, design, text, and the JevStation name and logo — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose while your account is in good standing. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except as the law allows.

Third-party names and marks, including Jev and TypeSafe, belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Third-party services

The Service depends on providers we do not control: the model provider that runs evaluations, payment processors, email delivery, image storage, hosting, and any optional analytics, advertising, or live-chat tools the operator has enabled. Their availability and their terms are their own. Model versions and provider endpoints can change, and the same state and questions may produce different answers after such a change. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, and no uptime commitment applies unless we have agreed one with you separately in writing. We may modify, add, or remove features, and may suspend the Service for maintenance or for security reasons. We may also discontinue the Service; if we do, we will give reasonable notice and, where the law requires it, a refund for the unused portion of any prepaid period.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, or that any answer Jev returns will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purpose. Confidence values are model estimates, not guarantees.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

To the same extent, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms — provided we notify you promptly and let you participate in the defence.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and may ask us to delete your account through a support ticket.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if a payment fails, if we are required to by law, or if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or for other users. Where practical we will tell you why.

When access ends, your right to use the Service stops, evaluations you have not exported may become unavailable, and unused credits are forfeited unless the law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including your content licence for retained records, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that place, except that mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence may give you the right to bring proceedings, or to have proceedings brought against you, in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. For material changes we will give notice through the Service before they take effect; if you keep using the Service after that, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the Service and ask us to close your account.

General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan or order terms shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets.
